Inclement Weather
In the event of unusual weather conditions, such as snow or ice, which would cause the Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County Schools to close, Epiphany Early Childhood Center will be closed on the first day of the event. After the first day, the director will make a decision based on the safe arrival of staff and families to the school, and families will be notified. The decision will be based on the safety of the streets, parking lot and sidewalks surrounding the center and the availability of staff to maintain appropriate ratios.
Changes in our schedule will be announced on WXII TV channel 12, as well as by e-mail. Please make sure we have up-to-date contact information.
If in a parent’s judgment, weather conditions present a threat to your child’s safety, the parent should have their child remain at home or have other care arrangements made in the event that EECC is not accessible.
If the public schools close early due to inclement weather, and a decision is made to close EECC, you will be called and expected to make arrangements to have your child picked up as soon as possible.
